About Mary McDonough
Mary McDonough is an American actress and writer best known for playing Erin Walton in 213 episodes of The Waltons from 1972 to 1981. She reprised the role in multiple reunion television films throughout the 1980s and 1990s. McDonough later became an author, penning the memoir Lessons from the Mountain: What I Learned from Erin Walton, as well as novels including One Year and Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane, which was adapted into a 2018 Hallmark Channel film.
