About Kevin Unangst

Kevin Unangst is a marketing executive who spent nearly three decades at Microsoft in product management and marketing roles. He managed Windows Media Player through versions 7-11, taking it to the number one most-used music and video player. He later led consumer marketing for Windows XP, directed PC Gaming strategy at Xbox, and managed global marketing for Microsoft Studios game franchises including Halo, Forza, and Gears of War. After Microsoft, he served as CMO at Stardock before joining Nintendo in 2023.

Unangst continued at Microsoft through 2017, leading Xbox PC Gaming initiatives and Windows 10 gaming features. He served as Vice President and CMO at Stardock from 2017 to 2019. In July 2023, he joined Nintendo as Senior Director of Entertainment Experiences and Partner Marketing, leading IP initiatives and strategic partnerships across theme parks, entertainment, and merchandise.
