About June Lockhart
June Lockhart was an American actress whose career spanned eight decades. She earned a Special Tony Award in 1948 for "For Love or Money" and became a television icon playing maternal roles in "Lassie" (1958-1964) as Ruth Martin and "Lost in Space" (1965-1968) as Dr. Maureen Robinson. A two-time Emmy nominee, she made her screen debut in "A Christmas Carol" (1938) and appeared in "Meet Me in St. Louis" (1944).
