Hal Lifson is a pop culture historian, publicist, and author best known for his book "Hal Lifson's 1966! The Coolest Year in Pop Culture History," published in 2002. He has worked as a publicist for Olympic runners Nick Symmonds and Shannon Rowbury, and contributed to "Archie's Big Book: Rock 'n' Roll" in 2018. Lifson has written extensively on retro themes and celebrities for AOL Patch and HuffPost, and released a CD companion to his 1966 project on Varese Sarabande.
