About Dennis Franz
Dennis Franz is an American actor best known for his Emmy-winning portrayal of Detective Andy Sipowicz on NYPD Blue from 1993 to 2005. He earned four Primetime Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards for the role. Earlier, he played Lieutenant Norman Buntz on Hill Street Blues and its spin-off Beverly Hills Buntz. His film work includes collaborations with Brian De Palma in Dressed to Kill and Blow Out, and a role in Die Hard 2.
