About Wink Martindale (second interview)
Wink Martindale was a game show host and radio personality who became a fixture of American television. He hosted Tic-Tac-Dough from 1978 to 1985, Gambit from 1972 to 1976 and again from 1980 to 1981, and High Rollers from 1987 to 1988. He also achieved success as a recording artist, with his spoken-word single Deck of Cards reaching number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1959. He conducted one of the first recorded television interviews with Elvis Presley.

Martindale continued hosting his YouTube channel Wink's Vault and appeared in a 2017 KFC advertising campaign with Rob Lowe. He died on April 15, 2025, at Eisenhower Health in Rancho Mirage, California, at age 91, one day after a Tic-Tac-Dough revival premiered on Game Show Network.
