About Richard Loren (second interview)
Richard Loren is a music manager and author who worked with major rock acts of the 1960s and 1970s. He served as booking agent for Jefferson Airplane and The Doors before managing the Grateful Dead from 1974 to 1981. He organized the Grateful Dead's historic 1978 performances at the Giza Plateau in Egypt during a lunar eclipse and was the first to book a rock act at Manhattan's Radio City Music Hall. He chronicled his experiences in the memoir 'High Notes: Working with Rock Legends Jefferson Airplane through the Doors to the Grateful Dead.'
