About Patrick Macnee

Patrick Macnee was a British-American actor best known for his iconic role as John Steed in The Avengers (1961-1969) and The New Avengers (1976-1977). His career spanned film, television, and stage, including roles in A View to a Kill (1985) as Sir Godfrey Tibbett, This Is Spinal Tap (1984), and Broadway's Sleuth (1972-73). He recorded the UK Top 10 hit "Kinky Boots" with Honor Blackman in 1990.
