Joe Lando is an American actor born in Prairie View, Illinois, who gained prominence as Byron Sully on CBS's "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" (1993-1998), appearing in 143 episodes alongside Jane Seymour. He previously played Jake Harrison on the soap opera "One Life to Live" (1990-1992) and made his film debut in "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home" (1986). As co-executive producer and star of Fox Family's "Higher Ground" (2000), he expanded his role behind the camera.
