About Jerry Springer

Gerald Norman Springer was a British-American broadcaster who hosted The Jerry Springer Show from 1991 to 2018, transforming it into a cultural phenomenon. Before his talk show career, he served as Mayor of Cincinnati from 1977 to 1978 and worked as a news anchor, winning ten Regional Emmy Awards for his commentaries. He later hosted America's Got Talent and Judge Jerry, a courtroom show that ran from 2019 to 2022.
