About Ted Knight
Ted Knight was an American actor born Tadeusz Wladyslaw Konopka, best known for his Emmy-winning portrayal of pompous newscaster Ted Baxter on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and as Henry Rush in Too Close for Comfort. He also appeared as Judge Smails in Caddyshack and provided voice work for The New Adventures of Superman. Knight received two Emmy Awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during his career.
