Marla Gibbs is an American actress, singer, comedian, writer, and television producer best known for her role as Florence Johnston on CBS's The Jeffersons (1975–1985), earning five Primetime Emmy nominations, and as Mary Jenkins on NBC's 227 (1985–1990), which she co-produced. She has won seven NAACP Image Awards and appeared in films including The Meteor Man, The Brothers, and Madea's Witness Protection, as well as recent television roles on Station 19, Days of Our Lives, and Chicago Med.
