About Kathy Garver (second interview)
Kathy Garver is an actress and author best known for playing Catherine 'Cissy' Davis on the CBS sitcom Family Affair (1966–1971). Cast by Cecil B. DeMille in The Ten Commandments (1956) as a child, she later voiced Firestar in Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends (1981–1983). Garver has authored several books including her autobiography Surviving Cissy: My Family Affair of Life in Hollywood and The Family Affair Cookbook.

Garver published her autobiography Surviving Cissy in September 2015 and received a Grammy nomination in November 2025 for narrating Elvis, Rocky and Me: The Carol Connors Story. She released Romancing with the Stars: Inspiring Hollywood Love Stories on Valentine's Day 2026 and curated a special Family Affair block for MeTV celebrating the show's 60th anniversary in September 2026.
