About Art Linkletter
Art Linkletter was a Canadian-American radio and television personality who hosted two of the longest-running shows in broadcast history. His daytime program House Party aired on CBS from 1952 to 1970, featuring the beloved segment where he interviewed children. He also hosted the primetime show People Are Funny on NBC from 1954 to 1961. His book Kids Say the Darnedest Things became a national bestseller in 1957-1958, and he received a Daytime Emmy lifetime achievement award in 2003.
