The cast of Ally McBeal, the Fox legal comedy-drama that aired from 1997 to 2002, included Peter MacNicol as attorney John Cage, Gil Bellows as Billy Thomas, Jane Krakowski as secretary Elaine Vassal, and singer-songwriter Vonda Shepard, who performed regularly at the bar and contributed the theme song.
